Town of Trenton Code of Ordinances
New ordinance regarding adult businesses:
If we remove our asphalt driveway, is it permissible to replace it with concrete all the way out to the road? I noticed some new pours near our home and some extend the entire driveway (in concrete).
Please contact Walt Groteleuschen, the Building Inspector, for information. 262.675.0909
I cannot find the dog license form on the town’s
website. Can you send me a copy?
The dog License Form is located on the FORMS page and on the TREASURER page. Thanks!
We have a neigbor to the east side of our lot that has a solid boarder of misc shrubs and trees that has overgrown onto our property by approximately 3 feet or better in some spots. We have asked him to trim the shrubbery back to the property line but so far he has not complied with our request What are our options at this point?
Any trees and shrubs can be trimmed to the lot line. It is important not to cross the lot line.
Could you please direct me to the ordinances for firearms discharge and hunting regulations. Specifically, can we use a shotgun or rifle for deer hunting this year in the town of trenton.
Go to the Ordinances web page and click on the link, then do a search for “rifle” – at this time, the Town of Trenton is following the DNR Regulations.
Do I need a burn permit to burn brush in trenton township? If so, where do I get a permit?
You do not need a permit, however, it is a good idea to inform the Newburg Fire Department that you will be burning.
do i need a building permit to put up a steel carport on my side driveway to park my truck under? It would just have a roof so could drive through it.
Please contact Zoning Administrator Barb Davies at 262.675.0415 or email@example.com to discuss what is allowed on your property.
is there an amount of time building permits are good for? the reason im asking is that a person in the 2200 block of Wallace lake rd has a garage that was started 4 years ago and it still has no siding or garage door.i realize some permits may slip through the cracks and do not get a follow up visit but since this garage was an addition to a house it should be so that this sort of thing doesn’t deprecate other homes in the area.
I will forward your message to the Town Board members.
Are burning barrels allowed in Trenton, Township in the area of Trenton road?
Nothing in our ordinances prohibits the use of burn barrels, however, burning of any toxic materials is prohibited, and it is also against ordinances to deliver burning barrel ashes to the Town Hall.

Is there an ordinance specifying how many backyard chickens someone can own in our subdivision in Trenton? Also, are chickens allowed to roam free all over the neighborhood or do they need to be in a pen? We seem to be over run with chickens and they are in the road at times. Thanks
The number of chickens and other animals allowed is located in the ordinances. See the Ordinances page on the website for details. It is dependent on the zoning of the property. The owners are responsible for keeping their animals on their property.
